Nuclear names rebounded from last week's selloff on data-center-power policy hopes, with uranium producer enCore leading and specialty-metal ATI the lone laggard.

enCore Energy (EU) led, up 16.7% to $1.05, but on no company-specific disclosure — the domestic-uranium producer was the sharpest mover in a sector-wide rebound from last week's selloff, and at a sub-$1 base a single session's beta reads large in percentage terms. The name maps the front end of the fuel-cycle chokepoint the vertical tracks: US-sourced yellowcake and in-situ recovery, the supply the reactor buildout ultimately draws on. Treat the move as sector momentum, not a re-rating.

ATI (ATI) was the laggard, down 1.3% to $189.16, a modest give-back with no fresh disclosure on the specialty-metals-and-zirconium rung — the corrosion-resistant alloys and cladding materials that gate reactor fabrication. The utility tape was the other soft spot, with NextEra (NEE) −1.0% to $79.63 and PSEG (PEG) −0.7% to $69.31, but the weakness was marginal against a broadly green board.

The rebound was policy-driven and ran across the whole complex. Reactor developers and enrichers bounced hard after selling off Friday: NANO Nuclear (NNE) +8.7% to $17.10, Centrus (LEU) +6.6% to $154.85 on the enrichment chokepoint, NuScale (SMR) +6.3% to $8.79, and Oklo (OKLO) +5.7% to $40.18 on the SMR rung. The uranium miners came with them — NexGen (NXE) +4.8%, Energy Fuels (UUUU) +5.1% to $12.30, Uranium Energy (UEC) +2.8%, and the Sprott Uranium Miners ETF (URNM) +3.3%. Reporting ties the move to policy expectations around data-center power — nuclear names ran on a House vote covering data-center power costs earlier in the week, gave it back Friday, and clawed part of it back Monday — rather than any operational news, making this a volatile policy trade. The power-buyer rung firmed alongside: Constellation (CEG) +2.9% to $262.11 and Talen (TLN) +2.6% to $299.97 on the data-center PPA thesis.

The catalysts ahead are regulatory. The NRC's final Environmental Impact Statement for GLE's Paducah laser-enrichment facility is expected around September 30 — a read on the domestic-enrichment chokepoint that names like Centrus trade around. BWXT reports Q3 on November 2 and NANO Nuclear delivers its Q4 FY2026 update around November 15. The Xe-100 construction-permit NRC review milestone lands December 16, and by year-end the market is watching the Westinghouse/US-government definitive agreements that would replace the binding term sheet, plus Bulgaria's Kozloduy Units 7–8 AP1000 final investment decision. The harder structural clock is 2028, when the Russian LEU import waivers terminate — the event that gives the domestic fuel-cycle names their long thesis.
